How to reach the Drents-Friese Wold?
The Drents-Friese Wold lies between the two villages Appelscha and Diever. It can be reached by four main roads:
via the Bosweg from Diever
via the Bosweg from Hoogersmilde
via the south and west exit of Appelscha from the N381 from Emmen to Drachten
from Doldersum
via the Huenderweg with direction Wateren
There are also a few smaller access roads like Park Midzomer in Diever, from Boschoord near Doldersum, from the centre of Appelscha (Bosberg) and from Zorgvlied.
The nearest railway stations are those in Steenwijk, Assen and Hoogeveen. From Steenwijk and Assen it is possible to change to a bus (with direction Diever or Appelscha) to take you to the park.
